In this fourth volume we look at Serge Charchoune's life from 1951 to 1960. Two elements appear in the artist's work-water and music-. During this period, he was able to work on larger canvases, giving him greater scope, with more freedom of expression. It was also a decade in which he was to make important new acquaintances, meeting other intellectuals such as the writer Pierre Lecuire, who has written his own account for this fourth volume and who has provided the author with documents which will enable the reader to approach the artist from a more intimate viewpoint.
