From 1929, the date of his first solo exhibition to 1984, the date of his retrospective, René Rimbert produced about 300 paintings. He destroyed some of them and today the classification established by the artist himself lists exactly 276 paintings. This catalogue is the result of more than thirty years of contact with René Rimbert, his wife and their son Camille. It reflects the passion that Pierre Guénégan has always had for his art. Rimbert was, wrongly, classified among the naive. May this work strengthen the place that is his.
