Between 1929, the date of his first personal exhibition and 1984, the date of his retrospective exhibition, René Rimbert produced around 300 paintings. He destroyed some of them and today the classification set up by the artist himself counts exactly 276 paintings. This catalogue, the result of more than thirty years of discussions with René Rimbert, his wife and their son Camille, reflects the passion that Pierre Guénégan has always had for his art.
