The Expert
An art expert cannot claim to be familiar with every period or every artist. Our area of expertise mainly covers the period from 1870 to 1970 for modern paintings and works on paper. Within this period, we specialize in a number of painters associated with the Purist or Cubist movements, as well as spontaneous painters associated with Art Brut, known as Modern Primitives by some and Spiritist Painters by others.
We issue certificates of authenticity for the following artists: Serge Charchoune, Amédée Ozenfant, René Rimbert, Séraphine Louis dite de Senlis, Henri Rousseau dit le Douanier Rousseau, Louis Vivin, Ferdinand Desnos, Jules Lefranc, André Bauchant, Camille Bombois, Gertrude O’Brady, Augustin Lesage, Fleury Joseph Crépin…
For painters grouped together as purists or cubists (see our book: Purism & its International Influence – Directory with 50 iconic artists), we can give you our opinion, provide an appraisal, or, if necessary, refer you to another expert who is more specialized in a particular artist.
Expertise or Consultation ?
The expertise concerns a work in your collection, a work you are considering acquiring or have just received through inheritance, or a work you wish to have valued for insurance purposes.
Consultation allows you to seek our opinion. Considering the purchase or sale of a work of art is no easy task. The same is true when it comes to inventorying an estate following a death. We can help you with any of these three scenarios. In all cases, consultations are completely free of charge.

Publication of annotated catalogs
An annotated catalog is an exhaustive and critical compilation of all known works by an artist, accompanied by documentary details and illustrations. It serves as a reference for both scientific research and authentication tools for the art market.
Our catalogs provide a detailed inventory of the artist's painted or drawn work, including the title, date of creation, dimensions, techniques used, provenance, past exhibitions, and stylistic analyses.
It takes many years to compile an annotated catalog. Our expertise has enabled us to publish catalogues raisonnés for the following artists: Serge Charchoune, Amédée Ozenfant, René Rimbert, Séraphine Louis dite de Senlis, Henri Rousseau known as Le Douanier Rousseau, Augustin Lesage, and the artists of the Purist movement.
