This second volume of the annoted catalog ofAmédée Ozenfant focuses on works on paper and follows the annoted catalog of painted Works published in 2012. The author shows the poetry and precision of Ozenfant’s drawing, where the curve always comes to soften the rigor of the line.
This cannoted catalog includes numerous analyses of authors who have devoted part of their lives to studying purist movement and its theorist Amédée Ozenfant. Many of the artist’s creations, once gone, but now buried by collectors, can finally reemerge thanks to stubborn research and be presented to the general public and enlightened amateurs. Other drawings and paintings, of course, still remain in the shadows and do not appear in this catalog, but we can bet that with this book, within a while, other important works will also appear in turn and complete this work of ants; for proof, the twelve paintings added in this book, completing the annoted catalog of the painted work.
